Warm Ginger Broth-

When the air is heavy with pollen, I keep food simple and warm. Our bodies are a lot like fine machines—when the filters get clogged, everything slows down.

  • Fresh Ginger

  • Bone Broth

  • Noodles

  • Wakame (optional)

  • Egg (blended)

  • Green Onions

  • Spices to taste

If you have a little potato shredder, use it or you can thinly slice your ginger with a sharp kitchen knife.

Get the ginger simmering in a little water.

How much ginger depends on what your body is asking for. I good rule is about the size of your own thumb.

Now add your broth. You choose which kind. (beef, chicken, or vegetable.)

I use a little Wakame. This is seaweed and packed full of minerals. A little goes a long way. Start off with a pinch. You can always add more.

Once your noodles are cooked, drop in your egg.

Top with green onions and your spices you prefer. stir and eat.

How do you know if you need something waring or cold?

Start small—each of us are designed differently. For example, I suffer from migraines. I like heat on my neck. Other’s feel better with something cold.

Pay attention to what your body is asking for—not just what someone else says works.

Start with tea.

Tea is one of the easiest ways to begin.

Ask yourself: does my body want something warming…or cooling?

Warm—Ginger

Cold—Peppermint

You serve both teas may be served warm.

The difference isn’t the temperature—it’s the herb.
